Central Illinois Orofacial Anomalies Team Clinic The purpose of the Central Illinois Orofacial Anomalies Team is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis, evaluation, and management of individuals with cleft lip or palate, speech problems, ear deformities, or other conditions. Although the major focus is children, appropriate adult referrals are also accepted. The team works with the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) and other agencies within the central Illinois area.
Clinics are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center, 507 E. Armstrong Ave., Peoria, IL. A group of specialists meet with the family to gather information, and decide the best course of treatment at that time for the child. The group will try to answer the questions that a family has at the visit. The clinic fee is $195.00 per visit and will be billed to a funding source, including the University of Illinois Division of Specialized Care for Children, the Illinois Department of Public Aid, or insurance companies. Should the insurance company reduce the amount payable due to a deductible or co-payment, the family will be responsible for the amount deducted by the insurance company.
